I grew up in a generation where Pluto was one of the mainstays, or unchangeables,of our solar system. It was not until a few years back that Pluto was struck off the list, much to the chagrin of those of us who felt that the smallest planet in our solar system deserved better treatment. Well, it looks like that status has remained the same with the $11.99 Solar System Erasers, for the obvious reason that there are 8 colorful planets to choose from.
Of course, the likes of Jupiter are pretty much solid in nature, which means it no longer represents the gaseous form of the real deal, and neither do you get to flick little pieces of Saturn’s rings, as all of it is stuck to the actual planet. I suppose that leaving Pluto out is a good thing too, since it would be too small to actually handle and would have gotten lost in double quick time. Needless to say, all of these are not to scale for obvious reasons. The Solar System Erasers are made from Thermoplastic Elastomer which are lightweight, tough, resuable, and recyclable, and keep them out of reach of children who are under the age of 36 months.
