Well, if you’re a fan of everything from the Land of the Rising Sun, then you might be interested to check out the $4.95 Mini Sushi Staplers, making it a hilarious gift idea or to remind you that you’re going to have a bento set lunch later during your break. You can choose from the delicious looking Salmon Roll, Tuna or Shrimp designs, and heck – the more deliriously hungry among you might actually dip this in some soy sauce and wasabi before realizing that you’re about to swallow a stapler instead of fresh sushi.

It seems that life is not that simple, and some folks prefer something “louder” so to speak, which is why the next time you are shopping for a USB hub, don’t just settle for any model – but rather, there is the $24 Roboto USB Hub. The name itself gives the game away, where Roboto hails from a secret lab in Japan, created from scrap parts of a nuclear submarine in order to have Roboto destroy Tokyo. Too bad with his size, he won’t amount to much save for helping you hook up a quartet of USB devices to your computer. Nice to know that he comes with sheet of cool decorative stickers to help you customize your own version over at the office. Kinda expensive for a USB hub, no?

If you want to make your other half happy with her favorite feline, then why not make her breakfast using this $39.99 Hello Kitty Sandwich Maker? The name itself says it all – you can grill Hello Kitty’s Face into every sandwich that you make. I suppose to make the cooking task all the more enjoyable, just pretend that you are actually pressing down the real Hello Kitty into the searing grill itself. Sadistic, yes, but at least you got some anti-Hello Kitty behaviour out of your system before serving her breakfast in bed with a far more accepting demeanour.

Well, that is fine and dandy, but with the advent of wireless technology, the ‘tail’ is no longer needed – so why the heck did Elecom of Japan roll out the Oppopet 3-button Wireless Mouse? Wait a minute here, this cute little mouse comes with a tail as well – although it is not as long as your regular mouse cable. The tail is detachable, where you plug it into your computer’s USB port for it to double up as a wireless receiver. Cool, huh? You can choose from different tail styles including a cat, fox, squirrel, dog, dolphin, chameleon, pig, and rabbit.

Other things, however, like the spork is different. That particularly weird looking eating utensil does seem to have received a design update of sorts. Apparently, the original spork came from a Japanese spoon-fork combo that was created for the Sugakiya ramen noodle restaurant chain in the late 1970s. The whole idea behind that was to save money and wastage, since you get to slurp on your noodles and broth using a single utensil. To celebrate the chain’s 60th anniversary, it decided to update its signature ramen fork, resulting in this super spork of sorts. Is your appetite whet already?

This is actually a machine that will deliver a nice, soapy bath to your four legged friend, never mind if it is feline or canine. Not, it doesn’t sound as cruel as it looks, but basically, what it does would be to wash and blow dry both dogs and cats. Currently installed at a pet supermarket in in the suburbs of Tokyo, this is the McDonalds of bathing your pet since it costs around $5 compared to the $30 charged for a full wash and blow-dry.

Well, guess that ended up as a myth, but it will not stop there since the Japanese decided there are still some folks out there waiting to be conned, hence the Wii FigureRobics front jacket that sees Jung Da Yeon, the cute girl on Wii FigureRobics jacket, being the “star” here. While she has never been that sexy, she apparently made waves in Korea after transforming from a chubby housewife into a fox simply because she wore that accessory and played the game. This ought to lead plenty of clueless folks into wasting their money into such a game and accessory, much to their boyfriends’ and husbands’ chagrin.
