Birdhouse just for bats

I can’t say that I’m exactly fond of bats, but we have sort of a silent understanding.  They continue to eat bugs and I’ll learn to tolerate them.  Bats are actually good to have around if you live out in the middle of nowhere thanks to their bug loving appetites.  If you’d like to get yourself just one bat or just like goofy birdhouses you could always build something like this.  This one was designed by Estudio Estres.  He was inspired by bats that suffer by the fact that although they are extremely efficient herbivores, they’re also a symbol of man’s hidden fears.

  1. Fred Flintstone says:

Bats aren’t herbivores; herbivores eat plants. About seventy percent of bats are insectivores. Most of the rest are frugivores, or fruit eaters.
